Contemporary flow class

Teacher: Esperanza Rimando or Steph Cuce

This is not your typical contemporary dance class. Designed to be accessible to movers of all backgrounds—whether trained dancers or complete beginners—this class blends contemporary dance with movement therapy techniques that promote groundedness, self-awareness, and connection to the body. Led by Esperanza and Steph, the class integrates somatic exercises in the warm-up to encourage body awareness and release tension. Throughout the session, embodiment practices are woven into technique work, helping participants develop a deeper understanding of their body’s natural mechanics. Rather than forcing movement into rigid shapes, we focus on fluidity and form, allowing movement to emerge organically from breath, sensation, and internal impulse. By bridging contemporary dance with movement therapy, this class offers a space for exploration, self-expression, and attunement to oneself—both physically and emotionally. Whether you seek to refine your technique or simply reconnect with your body, this class invites you to move with intention, freedom, and authenticity.
