The Thread was born from Steph’s years of learning psychology and becoming an Arts psychotherapist. Steph’s philosophical and existential questioning of the world started to be met with answers. She is a believer in doing the ‘internal work’, therapy and healing. As complex as we are as humans, The thread emphasises how deeply humans are connected to each other and dependent on ecologies (including their physical environment). She combines her love of dance for expression, storytelling, movement and its ability for processing thoughts, feelings and experiences in this work.

The Thread invites you to journey with us into your own inner world. Through soundscapes, storytelling and movement, we explore complex notions of what binds and divides us. ‘The Thread’ sees the performers navigate through internal and external influences that test the relationship between the individual and the group.
